Bible Study: Romans “How to be Right with God, Yourself, and Others” - Continuing his in depth Bible teachings, Rev. Dave Robertson, our Elder, is leading a study on the book of Romans.  Classes take place at 9:30 every Sunday morning in the Galatians Room and end around 10:20, in time to attend our worship service.

Alpha - This 12-session series is a wonderful tool not only for spreading the Gospel of Jesus, but also a highly effective and enjoyable way to introduce new believers to greater depth in understanding and applying the truths of the Bible, as well as a terrific “refresher course” for mature believers. Starting in October and ending shortly after Christmas, each session will consist of a half-hour video about a crucial aspect of Christianity, followed by a shared meal provided by the church and break-out discussion groups.  Alpha can be the gateway to discipleship and greater assimilation. Join us!

Wednesday Evening Prayer Group - Every Wednesday evening, a committed group of prayer warriors gather in the White Building – and via Zoom - to pray for all requests made by the congregation, attendees, and others. These prayers commence after Elder Horace Preddie gives a devotional study based on scripture.

Sunday Morning Prayer Time - Every Sunday morning at 10:00am, join Elder Horace Preddie in the White Building to pray for the church, the service that day, and the spiritual needs of the world around us, as well as the needs of individuals.

Christian Book Club - This new ministry will meet once a month for interesting, interactive, and fun discussions of Christian books of fiction and non-fiction. These free-flowing discussions will be led by Pastor Jim at set times to be fixed by the group.

BCC Kids Children’s Ministry - Our BCC Kids children’s ministry is a crucial foundation-stone of our church’s central mission!  BCC Kids Worship takes place every Sunday while our Worship Services are happening. Led by children’s ministry director Connie Oestreicher and other teachers and helpers, all children from kindergarten age up to 5th grade are taught basic biblical principles upon which to center their lives and help lead them to experience Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We really need more volunteers in this vital ministry, so that the current volunteers can be rotated to allow them to attend Sunday Worship and so that we might be able to include pre-K children.

FORGE Youth Ministry - Led by youth ministry director Amanda Pinales, FORGE is critical ministry that is newly energized with great zeal and picks up where the Children’s Ministry leaves off: serving young people from the 6th grade through high school. FORGE is designed to reinforce biblical foundations for life and bring students to decisions for Christ, and directly involves them in both biblical lessons and social actions in our local community. This ministry meets every Wednesday at 7:00pm in the Youth Room in the White Building…and it could really use more adults to help out!

Women’s Ministry - Led by Patty Vendola and Pamela Westin, this is another essential pillar of our church! Meetings are held on the first and third Fridays of each month, offering fellowship, Bible Studies, and fun and always grounded in prayers and books based on biblical teaching.

Men’s Ministry Small Group: Dave Robertson - We have so many men who want deeper fellowship, spiritual guidance, and solid biblical reflection, that we have two Men’s Ministry Small Groups. This one, led by Elder Rev. Dave Robertson provides not only a sense of community, (in-person and via Zoom)  but deep discussions of scripture-based readings geared to the daily lives of Christian men’s needs and challenges.  We generally meet on the last Monday of each month, 7:00 to 8:00 pm.

Men’s Ministry Small Group - Horace Preddie - This is our other Men’s Small Group, a longstanding little community  of Christian men that is more than just the chance for great fellowship. It is bathed in prayer, and includes deep examinations of the Bible. Led by Elder Horace Preddie, the group hosts interactive discussions about leading a Christian life as men in this challenging modern world. We generally meet every 3rd Sunday from 6:00-7:00pm.

Men’s Activity Group - In addition to the monthly Saturday breakfast meetings that include devotional talks, discussions, food and fellowship, under the guidance of Pastor Jim, the men will have the opportunity to participate in other activities throughout the year., such as bowling, axe-throwing, sports events, and music concerts. Suggestions will be gathered by the attendees.

Seniors Ministry - We are planning to increase the activities of and reinvigorate our Seniors Ministry to include quarterly luncheons and new activities and entertainments suggested by attendees.  This ministry will be directly overseen by Pastor Jim.

Worship Arts & Tech Ministry - This serving ministry is of course VITAL to all of our Worship Services! If God gave you talents to sing or play musical instruments, we need you to be a part of our Worship Music Team! We are also seeking volunteers with technical skills in audio and visual. We already have wonderful singers, musicians, and technical helpers making our weekly worship what it is, but all those folks could sure use the help … so that they might not have to utilize their many talents so frequently – to give them a chance to worship with us.

Greeters/Ushers Ministry - Overseen by Tamara O’Shea, these unsung heroes make our Sunday Worship Services work! We really need  more volunteers so we can give more time off for these folks who welcome every congregant who comes into our church, who greet visitors and direct them to our Welcome Desk, and who stand ready to help in any way.

Hospitality Ministry - Help is needed to participate in our Hospitality Ministry, which provides coffee, tea, juice, bagels, condiments, and a welcoming spirit at the end of our Worship Services so that everyone is able to connect with others. Led by Debbie Ventimiglia, this ministry arranges for the serving of food and beverages not only on Sundays, but also at special events. We could use your help so that those helping in this ministry don’t have to do it every Sunday.

Campus Care - Overseen by the John Andres, Facilities Director, this group will re-establish a Campus Care Ministry, asking our congregants to volunteer a few hours on a Saturday just twice a year (the first one will be this October) to help clean up and help improve our church campus in a variety of ways based on individual skill levels and willingness.

Visitation and Care Ministry - Guided by Pastor Jim, our Elders, and a new Board of Deacons, this ministry is seeking committed Christian volunteers to engage in all sorts of caring acts … including visiting folks in the hospital or under special circumstances and those confined to home; preparing food and /or delivering meals to our congregants in need; providing emergency transportation; and various other ways to bring comfort, both material and spiritual.

Walking Club - A Healthy Soul in a Healthy Body! Once a month on a Saturday, come join your sisters and brothers in our church’s back parking lot to embark from there on a walk together through parts of nearby beautiful Brookdale Park and back. Organized by Sandhya Daniel, these walks will begin and end with prayer. The church will supply water and healthy snacks. Dates and times to be determined by consensus of the participants.
