Our Children’s Ministry

For children 18 months old through 5th grade, BCC Kids normally offers weekly classes during Sunday worship (during the school year) and special events throughout the year. Our goal always is to provide a safe and fun environment for kids to learn about the Lord and make healthy friendships. At this time, with COVID-19 cases on the rise again in Essex County, we have suspended BCC Kids in-person activity until further notice.

BCC KIDS Worship

SUNDAYS ~ 10:15 AM

During Sunday worship (during the school year), all children age 18 months through 5th grade are invited to our BCC Kids worship program, located in the children’s wing. Kids discover God’s word, pray, and apply Biblical wisdom to their everyday lives. So that your child does not miss any of our Sunday morning program, please bring your child to the children’s wing check-in desk by 10:15 am.

We follow best practices in secure check-in and supervision and have updated procedures aligned with CDC and State guidelines. Here's quick overview of our new safety procedures to expect each week:

• As a preventative measure, all children and volunteers will be required to wear masks for the duration of the service.

• We will group children by 10 or fewer each week to reduce potential exposure.

• Drop-off will be one family at a time at the exterior access door of the new Children's Area, adjacent to the back parking lot.

• All children entering will receive a health screening temperature-check just inside the door and will immediately wash their hands in the children's restroom before greeting their friends. Parents will be asked a few health-related questions and will then exit immediately back outside to the parking lot to attend the adult worship service in the sanctuary.

• At this time, we cannot allow outside toys to be brought into the building and we will remove all fabric/soft toys until more restrictions are lifted. 

• Pick-up after church will be from the same exterior door and will again be one family at a time, socially distanced. 

The most important part of our Sunday mornings is learning about Jesus together and getting to know Him better. We promise to make it a fun, Bible-focused, and spiritual time for your children. 

Kids Worship Locations

All classes are in the Children’s Wing:

• Toddlers (18 mos-2.5 yrs): 1st floor

• Pre-Kindergarten (toilet-trained children ages 2.5-5 yrs): 2nd floor

• Kindergarten-2nd Grade: 2nd floor

• Grades 3rd-5th: 2nd floor

Parent-Supervised Family Room

Any parents with children of any age are also invited to use our family room, located across the hall from our sanctuary. With the service’s audio piped in and a view into the sanctuary, you can comfortably enjoy Sunday worship with your little ones. Please note our social distancing guidelines at this time.

Special Events Year-Round

In addition to our weekly children’s program during Sunday worship, we offer special events and activities throughout the year for all children aged 18 months through 5th grade. We partner with families to inspire every child to discover and grow in their lives with God, in a safe and fun environment.
